Install problem

Postby aldo » Thu Aug 20, 2009 6:07 pm

Hi

I have a psp running 5.03 which I'm trying to use LightMP3 on but it comes up with "the game could not be started .. corrupted data" when I "click" on the LightMP3 logo in games on the memory stick.
Do I need to load some kind of custom firmware to use this software? or does it work with the original Sony firmware?
Please be gentle as I'm a newbie.

Thanks
aldo

Hi! :)

You need a Custom Firmware (or HEN) to run any homebrew, not only LightMP3. ;)

hi there! this is not really an install problem. i just want to make sure that this won't brick my psp. i am new to CFW and homebrew apps. so, can this be safely installed on a PHA running 5.03 Gen-C? or does this touches flash0 - that i read somewhere should not be messed with if yours is a partially hackable psp.

thank you.
