I only have one problem with lightmp3. I don't have any music files in my music directory. I have PSP Revolution on my PSP and just about every DDR song ever made that will fit on my PSP. So I do have a lot of music that I would like to play while on the go. I heard that lightmp3 lets you browse the whole memory stick so you can play the files from other then the music directory. Yet when I try to load it up I get a debug window that says "ms0:/MUSIC and ms0:/PSP/MUSIC not found or empty" and then it exits out. Is there anyway that maybe in a future release you can remove that so even if the folders are missing or empty you can still browse the memory stick and create a playlist that way? Or is there a way to creat a 0 byte or empty mp3 file so that i can put it in the music directory so it will think there is an mp3 file there but won't take up any space as a temporary work around?

You can create a text file and then rename it .mp3 (LightMP3 only checks file extension).
You're right, that check on startup doesen't make much sense....I think I'll remove it.

Many thanks. ;)

Hi!!

i have some ideas for this exelent Proyect...

I think the most important and original idea.... Try Change the ORIENTATION of the Player to vertical, or add the option to change... in this way we can use the cross so select option a the circle, tringle...etc to confirm sleection... in this way we can see mp3 list more long... and if you can add a cover diplay in file browser.. will be great

sorry for my bad english

Cheers form MEXICO!!!

I'm sorry but I don't have much spare time and this would take too long for me.

and if you can add a cover diplay in file browser.. will be great

This is in my plan. ;)

Maybe I'll add AAC support (if I find the time)...I started to add it (you can try to listen to an AAC but the audio won't be good) but then left it and concentrate on other issues.

@PSXp-ONE: I'm not interested in visualizers (I never watch the display while listening to music) and I don't think I'll add this feature, sorry. ;)

Many thanks for your comments.

First off let me say I changed the font in the skin to the Japanese one and my tags show up perfect ^^ I really appreciate it when someone takes the time to get that right, so thanks. So in the file browser I had 2 ogg files and then a mp3 file listed. After playing the mp3 file it returned to the file browser but only listed the mp3 file. Just a minor bug :P

Also, I keep my music organized by artist and then album and in each album folder I have two images:
cover.png - This is the hi-res cover art for Amarok/etc.
cover.bmp - This is a 100x100px (but not all cover art is square) cover art for rockbox

It would be cool if LightMP3 would read my cover.bmp as I don't want to embed cover art into all my files (and can you even do that with say FLAC?)

Wow, this is a good news! :)
Can you please make a translation (so I can add it to next releases, with instruction on how to set the app for Japanese)?

When returning to the file browser the selected file is put at the beginning of the list...did you try to scroll up?

LightMP3 looks for cover.jpg and folder.jpg, you can convert your cover.bmp into cover.jpg ;)

Many thanks for your comment.
